DINO DIG | Tiny Feet Discovery!
Time & Location
About the Event
In this adventure your child will feel like a real paleontologist and learn all about dinosaurs while digging up an egg and excavating unique dinosaur fossils!
Participate in circle time, where we will read a fun book about fall.
-During circle time we will introduce ourselves and read a fun book about fall. We will then analyze the word fall, find out about it's history, meaning and spelling. We will then practice writing the word "Fall" at our seats before moving on to the next activity.
Go digging for Dinosaur eggs!
-Handcrafting your very own book can be tons of fun! I have booklets in the shape of a pumpkin that each child will receive. They will get to use whatever writing utensil that would like to make it their own!
Learn all about Fossils and why they are important.
-Learning why we have seasons and how it affects our climate is very important. Before diving in, we will create a hypothesis based on the information your child knows and then toward the end, we will see if they were correct.
Excavate your very own dinosaur fossil!
-Now for the fun part, Painting! Please dress your child in something that is okay to mess up, while we don't anticipate getting messy, paint is alway unpredictable!
Explore the tiny details about fall through sensory play
-In our last section, we will begin the process of winding down by listening to peaceful music and digging into a fun filled sensory bin made just for fall. Each child will have a checklist of items to find in their sensory bin to add a little more learning to the play
Connect with other explorers!
-During this social break, you child will get to share what they learned and connect with the other explorers in the room! They will receive one juice and one snack each while they wait for parent pick up.
